Yuri Semashko
Yuri Semashko was born in 1993 in Minsk, Belarus. An engineer by education. He has mastered the art of filmmaking on his own, making short films and puppet cartoons.
In 2022-2023, the short film “Garbage Head” won the Belarusian competition program of the Bulbamovie (Poland, 2022) and Unfiltered cinema (2023, Belarus) festivals, and was selected for the international program of the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen (Germany, 2023). Received three “Red heather” awards from Belarusian film critics.
In 2024, he finished filming his first feature film in Warsaw.
