In a little village reside two forgotten souls: a mother and her five-year-old daughter. The mother works as a postwoman, and the child has to stay at home alone, waiting for her mom to return. The tranquility of their lives is disrupted by the mother's boyfriend, who pays the family an unexpected visit one day. For the first time in her life, the little girl experiences intense feelings of envy and jealousy that she isn't fully able to grasp yet.
